Flotation Systems:

Induced Gas Floatation
AquaMation has a complete line of gas/mechanical flotation systems handling from 1,000 to 175,000 BPD. The main purpose of a flotation unit is to separate oil and dirt from water. In this equipment, gas (in the form of tiny bubbles) is induced into a mixture of oil and water. These tiny bubbles attach to suspended solids and oil droplets causing them to float. The resulting layer of oily foam flows over an adjustable weir into a skimming trough on the side of the tank where drainage is located for collection.
The AquaMation gas/mechanical flotation system consists of a series of four induced gas compartments and an outlet cell. Each of the induced gas compartments contains a vertical, direct drive, rotating assembly for dispersing gas into the oily water. The outlet cell provides a quiescent zone for the final separation of entrained gases. AquaMation's design results in a unit that is easy to adjust, reliable, safe and economical to operate.
