Aquamation has developed technology for several types of deaeratores/degassifiers. All of the systems use the same principal to remove a dissolved gas from a liquid - removing or replacing unwanted gasses above the liquid eliminates the partial pressures of these gasses reducing the amounts of these gasses that can stay dissolved in solution.
The two main methods employed to remove an unwanted gas from a liquid are vacuum and stripping. In the vacuum method all of the gas above the liquid surface is removed, which in turn draws out any gas in solution. The stripping method replaces the gas above the liquid with an acceptable gas. This reduces the partial pressures of any undesirable gases drawing any of these dissolved gases out of solution. |
